To provide interim medical service to persons who do not have access to care either due to location or lack of financial means.
The clinic started in November 2000 after nursing students performed a community assessment to determine that there was no medical care for this small farming community. The clinic began as a blood pressure service in the church basement. The church had a house that had been donated and was repaired by volunteers from the community and student body. Open only on Monday afternoons, the clinic now serves over 100 clients a month with multiple chronic diseases and urgent care problems.
All persons who present will be seen without charge. Care is based on providing support and education to persons to help them live healthier lives.
