Mission/Goal/history :

A medical doctor, Dr. Thomas Kelly, and a minister, Rev. Jimmy Lewis, had a vision that all Clayton County residents should have access to quality care without consideration for their ability to pay. Their vision was realized on September 16, 2000, when the Good Shepherd Clinic opened with Dr. Kelly providing medical care.

Since opening, the clinic has provided medical care, along with medications, to several thousand Clayton County residents. We have been able to fill this void because of the many volunteers who serve, the financial support from the community and your prayers.

The mission of Good Shepherd Clinic is to provide primary medical care to those with limited financial resources in Clayton County. Our goal is to witness to the ministry of Christ through physical, emotional, and spiritual healing in an atmosphere of dignity and respect for all. We will foster relationships by serving as a gateway for those in need of the available support services and resources in our community.
